Battling dry, itchy, and sensitive skin is something that I have dealt with all my life. Multiple applications a day of lotions and creams to my body and face was my normal routine. I remember purchasing and using a different brand each time I ran out of the previous one. Nothing worked consistently to relieve the itching and dryness without irritating my sensitive skin. Having started my career in health care at the age of 19 I added insult to injury with constant hand washing and glove wearing.

I found a black women owned small business that sold whipped shea butter and began using her products after sampling them at a local natural hair salon. The shea butter was an instant staple in my daily routine. My celebrations were short lived as her business closed due to her moving to another state and I was left with one jar of shea butter.

As a desperate attempt to get more shea butter and keep my skin aliments at bay I began to research options to create my own body products at home. Being a lover of science I found my happy place mixing and testing out formulations. My goal was simply to create a product that relieved my dry itch by keeping my skin moisturized all day without irritation, breakouts or rashes. However, being a true creative and Diva I did’t want to sacrifice my individual style and essence for a boring cream even if it did the job.

Through trial and error I developed a whipped form of shea butter that aided in healing my skin and boosting it’s appearance by keeping it consistently moisturized while being able to exude my personal expression with it’s infectious fragrance. It wasn’t long before family, friends, and coworkers were requesting the butter. Through word of mouth it quickly began to spread and in my kitchen “the lab” SHEAmeless was born.

In 2019, I launched SHEAmeless because I believe that everyone should experience living life comfortable in their skin. The products I have developed help soothe and heal the skin so you can Be You! Infusing exotic ingredients and diversely enchanting fragrances so you can Be Bold! When you look good, you feel good so be fearless, be unstoppable and Be SHEAmeless.
